Travelling The World
In May 2008, Kashi Samaddar, a Dubai-based businessman with an Indian passport, became the first person to have visited the most countries in the world (including all 194 sovereign states).
I read about him in the October issue of Open Skies (the in-flight magazine from Emirates Airlines), and was very surprised that it took so long for this world record to be established. Especially with the crazy amount of travelling that people are doing these days (I’m as guilty of it, as them).

Me, and one of the world's most expensive hotels, the Burj Al Arab, in the UAE.
Maybe if I hurry along, I could be one of the next four people to achieve the same distinction. Visiting every country in the world is definitely on my list of ambitions and I’m already 6 down (Kenya, India, Oman, UAE, UK and Sri Lanka). The next few should be from East Africa (Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia) where I won’t need a visa (thank you, Kenyan passport!); followed by far away New Zealand. I’ll keep you posted on that though.
What records do you want to break or join the club of?
